I’ve found it is much easier to reach your senator by calling their local, or in state offices than the DC numbers.
The Senators name links to their official senate.gov website. Please find their local office telephone numbers there.
It’s a waste of your time to call any other Senator than your own. Their computers will filter out your call.

Set up a Google Alert. Navigate to:
https://www.google.com/alertsand enter the field with the name of your member of congress. Create ones for both of your Senators, too. Send them thank you notes when you are pleased with them, and send them other notes when you are not. Whatever is your pet issue, set up an alert for that too. (Pro tip: whatever time of day you set up the alert, that is the time of day Google will send you the alert. Choose your time wisely.)
