The election of Donald Trump as President of the United States is a traumatic and sobering event for everyone to the left of Richard Nixon.
Tengrain and I wanted to make a change. We wanted to do something!
We believe the DNC must abandon the failed DLC strategy of fighting for votes only in “battle ground” states and instead resume the fifty state strategy implemented by Howard Dean that resulted in the Democrats taking the house, senate and executive in 2008.
I decided I was going to make this happen, but I couldn’t do it alone. So, I turned to my friends, comrades and cohorts on MockPaperScissors for help.
Howard Dean announced he is running for Chairman of the DNC and would implement his fifty state strategy again. We decided to support his candidacy and the fifty state strategy.

Our plan relies on three key concepts: simplicity, repetition and message consistency, just like what the Republicans do. The difference is the Republicans use their techniques for evil, and we will use these techniques for good! Bwah-ha-ha!
This is what we’ve done:
- We have a (growing) list of contact names, phone numbers and addresses for the decision makers and influencers within the Democratic party and are making it available for anyone to use.
- We have prepared sample letter templates you can print out, sign and mail to these decision makers and influencers.
- We are asking You, the Scissorheads — the dozens/hundreds/thousands of people here at MPS, those who post and those who lurk — to invest just 15 minutes of your time each week to make two phone calls, and mail one hard copy letter to the decision makers and influencers in the Democratic Party asking the party to endorse Howard Dean as DNC Chairman and once again implement his fifty state strategy.
We need you to commit fifteen minutes a week, one hour per month, twelve hours per year to take action to get our country back on track to being the great society we want it to be.

Repetition:
Can you commit fifteen minutes of your time to taking our country back from the alt-right each week – that’s one hour per month, only twelve hours per year – knowing that every call you make, every letter you mail is making a significant and positive action to improve your life and those of your brothers and sisters, friends and lovers, mothers, fathers and children.
Message Consistency:
We want and need you to evangelize the idea of the fifty state strategy to the other leftists, dems and socialist you know.
We want you to try to recruit one other person every month to take an action, download and send a letter or make two calls supporting Howard Dean and his fifty state strategy. The key concepts to communicate are: Howard Dean for DNC Chairman and a fifty state electoral strategy.
