This is really ingenious. Remember how when you go get a Slurpee® (Admit it, you have had Slurpees ® I can see you, you know!) you could mix, like, the blue one with the pink one and create your own taste sensation? (And now I want a Slurpee ®, it’s been YEARS!)
Well, Heinz is doing that with their bottled sauces and dressings:
HEINZ® is no stranger to unique sauce combinations that satisfy fans’ cravings & needs (hello, MAYOCHUP®!). Now, HEINZ REMIX is taking personalized sauces to new heights, creating a first for the sauce and foodservice category. The free-standing machine is touchscreen operated, enabling consumers to first select from a range of “bases” – currently HEINZ Ketchup, Ranch, 57® Sauce, and BBQ Sauce – then personalize further with one or more “enhancers” – currently Jalapeño, Smoky Chipotle, Buffalo, and Mango – at their preferred intensity level (low, medium, high).
I’m not sure where this will be deployed, but if any of you find one in the wild, you must tell the rest of the class about it. My sister Ninegrain was notorious for mixing up her ketchup as a kid (she put it on everything). I think she would want one of these in her house if she could.
I hope that somehow Heinz keeps track of the combos and learns what diners really want. The market research that these devices could reveal is invaluable for new product offerings.
I don’t think I’ve ever had a slurpee. As a youngster I had a thing for milk shakes (the more chocolate the better), but slurpees no…

W/ you on that. I’ve had more than my share of junk food & drink, from the 7-Eleven® & elsewhere, but never a Slurpee®.

Best Foods dropped their Dijonaisse brand mix a few years ago; Mrs BDR loved it, but now we can’t even get the store brand version any more.
Sadly attempts to recreate it have failed, so far.

I just Googled it and found it at Walmart.com, and available. Maybe it’s not the same thing? —TG

Yeah they list it, but it’s “not available” and per Hellmans own twitter account it has been discontinued

Maybe TFG can come up with a variety that’s easier to throw.

One of these machines will be Pretzeldent within 30 years IMO.

Worse, when one of these robo-marries a Coca-Cola Freestyle™ machine, we’ll be getting chipotle dijonnaise soda.

When I was a about 7 we moved to San Jose, long time ago. At the end of the new housing tract street we lived on, there was a bowling alley. In the bowling alley they had new Coke machines that would deliver a cup and ice and coke sauce all mixed together. Before times, it was always in bottles, in machines. Eventually I saw the inside of one of those new machines. And it was, how you say, filthy, with crusted mixes of the different soda pop sauces caked along the mixing chute. So, when I saw your picture of the new sauce-o-matic mix master, I saw only pictures of all the sauces crusted on the inside of one of new six wonders of the world. No thank you. I’ll mix my own at home.
Just say’n…
