And frankly, nor should we. I have no reservations about referring to the GQP as a fascist party. No concerns that this description is overheated and hurtful. I feel this way because the description is spot on. There is no longer the slightest reason to “beat around the bush” about this undeniable fact. If we don’t call the threat out for what it is, we risk going the way of Weimar.

Redhand –
They say these things knowing full-well they are being recorded. That’s the difference. I’m sure these awful things have been said in private, but now they just don’t care, and in fact are looking around for approval.
Sooner or later some weak-brained vigilante is going to take it as permission and start the Purge.
The GOP is playing a very dangerous game.

Not to argue, but an excellent argument can be made that Ron Debacle has already crossed the line. He’s trying to marginalize and encourage persecution of blacks and gays with his rhetoric and policies. It so reminds me of the Nazis going after Jews and gays.
Yellow stars of David and Pink triangles.
I also think there’s a parallelism between some of Debacle’s rhetoric and vintage stuff like this:
Then again, maybe I’m the “extremist.”

I saw Kinky play last Friday night in Denton, and of course he saved this one for the encore. Maybe his greatest song, followed in ranking by “They Ain’t Mikin’ Jews Like Jesus Anymore”.
