Hostage-Taker Laments Negotiations

H/T Scissorhead Dennis Cole

If this isn’t the quote of the year, I’ll be surprised:

“I think my conservative colleagues for the most part support Limit, Save, Grow, and they don’t feel like we should negotiate with our hostage,” Gaetz told Semafor.

OK, Democrats, he said it, now RUN WITH IT!

(And, the hostage-negotiations are stalled as the Republicans are asking for more, which generally speaking is not how bargaining works.)

These younger folk in the government now, seem to have no idea of how government works. They have no idea what debate means and they have no idea how to give and take. They put up a big line in the sandbox (cat box?) and think they have the right to tell everybody else what to do. I guess it would help if they had any interest in making government work, but they don’t. This latest hostage-taking is especially odorous after all the times they raised the debt under Donald. Negotiation does no good with people that stupid and settled on destruction.

Moving goalposts – a tactic for debate, a fallacy for negotiations.

Or as Keith Olbermann’s cousin Mike Tyson, says, “everyone has a plan until they get smacked in the mouth.”
