I think a lot of people don’t even see the letter ‘f’ in the blue square. It’s just an icon or emoji. Sometimes it seems we’re backsliding to heiroglyphs.
As I recall, there is a language spoken in China that is one of the few languages that is still written using pictographs. I think it is one of the dialects of Nakhi (spelled Naxi in pinyin), and the pictographic script is called Dongba.
