Some Fries With Your Stupid, Gym?

H/T Scissorhead Dennis Cole

Yup, as predicted this morning, insurgent adjacent yahoo and chipmunk-voiced Gym Jordan and pals have dropped their hammer on Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, while at a GOP retreat nearby Merde-a-Lardo:

Put Ken Starr on the case. He had NO problem pursuing illegal activity of a high-ranking official. He’ll pursue until he actively creates it, even.

Somehow, I thought I had commented on going after tfg. With so much material to work with he should have faced a grand jury or two a long time ago.
Which leads me to this: I do NOT understand AT ALL how discovering that a candidate for office has been (allegedly) involved in criminal behavior results in burying it because he’s ruining for office. That seems like the perfect time to investigate and expose shenanigans and treason, before the miscreant is elected.
To continue, once they are elected treason is the perfect crime to investigate. I mean – questionable real estate deals are a stupid reason. Treason and subornation of perjury and incitement to insurrection? Threatening to cancel monetary support to foreign governments, support that was approved by congress? Allowing foreign agents to romp in (previously) secured areas in the executive branch operating areas?
What better reasons do we have for investigation pursuant to indictment? It really seems like high office would increase the importance of pursuing the information and possible indictment.
Can anyone explain it to me like I am five?

You did. I have a very dry sense of humor, and was trying to make a joke about Ken Starr. Also my apologies for being coarse.😖
I agree with you about what you’re saying here. it is indeed amazing they haven’t all been picked up yet.

Apologies not necessary. When I went back to look I wasn’t tracking properly. Also – coarse? I missed it. Try vulgar next time, just to see if I even notice.
I just really don’t get it. I thought the feds made a big mistake when they let the Bundys off the hook and went home. (edit: they didn’t get totally off the hook, but you wouldn’t know it from all reports. Learned this from looking up Malheur just now)
The overall impression is that the militias and similar learned (again) that they could do pretty much anything they wanted and not have any actual consequences. It’s like that graf that Tengrain uses sometimes – if an insurrection (or occupation or militia action or riot) isn’t prosecuted it becomes just another training exercise.

D.A. Alvin Bragg should willingly appear, but make clear that he will not discuss ongoing local investigations or ongoing litigation. He can also refuse to discuss any other issue, alleging that there is no “federal legislative purpose” required for such “oversight” investigations and that the Feds have no oversight authority over local law enforcement or prosecutions.

To quote Khan Noonien Singh, “You are in a position to demand nothing, sir.” The federal government has no jurisdiction over state and local law enforcement. Bragg should tell Gym Shorts to take his subpoena, fold it repeatedly until it has tight, sharp corners, dip it in liquefied Carolina Reaper pepper, then forcefully insert it as far into his colon as it can possibly get.

How about the DA sending a return letter with a summons for Obstruction of Justice?
