That song was the impetus for Mrs BDR and I to run to Crazy Eddies and spend a bunch of money on a CD player in 1987 after we heard it played at a friend’s house. It was the very first CD we owned (I think we still have it!)
Later we got a cd/cassette boom box for our road trips in the ’74 Peugeot we thought was the coolest ‘touring car’ we ever owned.
From DAK Electronics.
If you remember THEM you’re of a Certain Age And Had Some Disposable Income in the 80’s. I ended up with one of their breadmakers that looked like R2D2, too. Was a great breadmaker…
Mostly I just do an image search in google, go to the site with the image then right-click and select ‘copy image url’ and paste it into the post. If the long url ands with .jpg , .png, etc it will automagically appear.
For something of my own, the reliable method has been a threefour five step process with DropBox (this is on a Mac using Safari, but I expect the Windows version, or other browsers is the same):
1) Put the image into my dropbox folder
2) Right-click and select ‘Share’
3) Select ‘copy link’ in the resulting window.
4) Paste the link into a browser window and go there
5)right-click on the image and select ‘copy image address’
Then past that huge unwieldy-looking link in your post
And et voila! a picture of an adorable puppy appears!
Might be a dropbox thing, if I try to go to the url I get:
Error (410)

@brucedesertrat I don’t remember DAK Electronics, but I sure remember Crazy Eddie Antar.
PS. What hypertext code do you use to post pics and is the URL you reference one of your own cloud storage or straight off the web?
Thanks for that snippet of your past. I had a Mrs. Redhand back in 1987, but times and people change, etc.
As David Byrne would say, “That was a long, long time ago.”
