Sen. Rick Scott is a role model to many
Thin-skinned billionaires of ill-gotten gains are always fun to watch:
“It’s not just the Democrats in Washington who are destroying our country,” Scott said. “You have heard the famous quote: ‘We have met the enemy and he is us’.”
“Unfortunately, some of the leaders of our old Republican establishment have been in Washington way too long and forgotten why they came here,” he added. “They’ve gotten used to caving in to the Democrats. They do it over and over and over. Instead of the Democrats compromising their liberal principles, they roll over, and compromise our conservative principles.”
“When I took on Sen. McConnell, I knew it would be hard, and I assumed I would have a hard time winning,” he said. “But we have to start somewhere. Everyone in Washington said I was nuts, and I might be. But we can’t put up with this BS any more.”
Scott is, of course, aiming at amply be-chinned Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, with whom he is publicly in a pissing match. McConnell, for his part is openly blaming Scott for the losing retaking the Senate due to the much-publicized plan to sunset Social Security and Medicare (that stuff is only done in private, Rick!), and has removed him from powerful committees.
We do not know how this match ends, so the only question remains: do you want butter on your popcorn?
I’d like to know what alternate spideyverse Senator Bat Boy lives in, you know, the one where the Republicans always cave to the Democrats? ‘Cause sure as hell ain’t THIS one.
Also “When you come at the King, you best not miss” is advice he probably won’t accept, because I’ll lay a whole buncha quatloos on MoscowMitch having receipts in his pocket regarding all that missing cash in the NRSCC bank account Batboy was ‘administering’…

Sadly, whoever wins this pissing match, the rest of us lose.

Can he be impeached for quoting Walt Kelly? Who, I believe, was talking (through Pogo) about McCarthyism?
