Georgia is considering a statue to honor native son Clarence Thomas.

ATLANTA (AP) — Republican Georgia lawmakers are again trying to erect a statue of U.S. Supreme Court Justice and Georgia native Clarence Thomas on the state Capitol grounds in Atlanta, in what many Democrats, particularly Black ones, see as an insensitive display of partisan power.

The Georgia state Senate voted 32-20 along party lines on Tuesday to mandate a statue of the Pin Point, Georgia, native. Minority Democrats had proposed amending the measure to also mandate a statue of the late Georgia congressman and civil rights icon John Lewis, but then pulled back the amendment.

Senate Bill 69 moves to the state House for more debate.

Anyway, for 3/17ths of 4/25ths of a point towards your midterm final, help out Georgia and propose a statue for ol’ Mr. Ginni Thomas. No. 2 lead pencils in the blue books only.

I was going for the Shoe Shine statue – almost like boot-licking, but with a brush.
Then I thought- what about a lawn jockey statue. Won’t post picture, as they look pretty offensive. But so is Clarence.

I was trying to think of a way to have no questions represented, because he never asks questions.

Could dress him up as the justice/scales lady, but move the blindfold down, just under his nose.
There is so much to highlight that I don’t see how it could all fit into one statue.
The hearing where, as usual, the woman wasn’t “believed”
The lack of input or questions
Implying that he’s there as a token (maybe a huge statue of a subway token, with pictures of his other ahem accomplishments?)
Implying that he has no opinions of his own
Which brings us to the questionable role of wifey
The insult in him replacing Thurgood Marshall
        (compare/contrast with Comey following Ginsberg)

        Suddenly, I’m tired.

Georgia state Senator Emanuel Jones just likened Thomas to Uncle Tom. So maybe the monument should include a cabin.

I’d say how revolting that is, but then it’s Georgia.

A big ol’ cock’a’doody, surrounded by a field of genuine pubes, plucked individually from the actual supreme’s patch. OR, a large coke can with a big ol’ curly hanging down the side.
