Koch Brother(s) Are Not Our Friends

I see that a lot of A-List bloggers are heralding that the remaining Koch brother is organizing against Hair Füror, and while that is all well and good, the Koch network is NOT our friends. Whatever Libertarian goofball they decide to support will have their hateful, anti-American imprimatur on him (and it will be a him, and he will be as white as they can muster) and will be dangerous as eff with their money and resources behind him.

The WaPo:

The network of donors and activist groups led by conservative billionaire Charles Koch will oppose Donald Trump for the 2024 Republican nomination, mounting a direct challenge to the former president’s campaign to win back the White House.

“The best thing for the country would be to have a president in 2025 who represents a new chapter,” Emily Seidel, chief executive of the network’s flagship group, Americans for Prosperity (AFP), wrote in a memo released publicly on Sunday. The three-page missive repeatedly suggests that AFP is taking on the responsibility of stopping Trump, with Seidel writing: “Lots of people are frustrated. But very few people are in a position to do something about it. AFP is. Now is the time to rise to the occasion.”

What if they decide that proto-fascist Ron DeSantis is their guy?

  1. Of COURSE Cracker Orban is their guy. They’re pissed at Trump because he said out loud “Don’t be stupid, Republicans! Cutting Social Security and Medicare is a Loser tactic, and believe me, I know from losing!”

A relevant quote, “I don’t think it was any of these explanations. The answer is very simple. It was greed, the blind pursuit of horrifying wealth and power. An addiction that has left the country less equal and the planet endangered.” Seems about right. I found the article here…

True dat, Jimmy-T, I used to think it was all about the Ameros, but now I wonder how power plays into the equation (unless it is power in the pursuit of Ameros). Maybe it is not an “or” maybe it is an “and.”

      • Well, I think it always was the power; they view themselves as better than the rest of us, and suited to impose their views on us for our own good.

Don’t forget: Daddy Koch was the big cheese behind the John Birch Society, and they’ve been libertarian troo believers all along.

I would substitute the word ‘staunchly’ for ‘proto’.

Even Mussolini would have asked this guy to dial it back a little.

Koch will follow the Republican nominee in 2024 to any end. His only problem with the current Head of the Republican Party is that he thinks he can’t win, and poisons the pool for everyone else he likes.

Businessmen are practical men. If Teflon Don is chosen to run in 2024, Koch will be at the front of the cheering section.

If they want to stop Trump, it might be cheaper to pay Trump directly not to run. Also, as insurance, film it, so that it can be released to force him out of the running.
