The terrible sand people of the terrible sand kingdom of Arizonastan.
Guys, the Terrible Sand People of the Terrible Sand Kingdom might have an opportunity to kick Kari Lake in the ol’ rat’s patootie again:
Defeated Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake met with officials at the National Republican Senatorial Committee on Thursday, two people familiar with the matter told POLITICO.
The meeting comes as Lake is considering a run for the Senate in Arizona. Caroline Wren, a senior adviser to Lake, confirmed the meeting, saying it lasted about an hour and that the topics of discussion included the differences between running a Senate and a gubernatorial campaign.
(If the name Caroline Wren sounds familiar it might be because she just got slapped with a defamation lawsuit from the dude that Matt Schlapp groped. Allegedly.)
In a brief interview in the halls of the Senate as she visited members like Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), Lake said she was in town for the National Prayer Breakfast but demurred on how seriously she was weighing a run.
That totally scans, and yet I cannot imagine that much stupid in one room. The earth’s axis must be wobbly.
Anyway, I’m not sure how a three-way race with Lake, Sinema, and Gallegos would go, but I would guess Lake would get all the crazy.
Krazy Lake miiiiiight have a wee little legal problem to overcome, first: https://ktar.com/story/5428524/arizona-secretary-of-state-fontes-calls-for-investigation-into-kari-lake-over-election-signatures/
