After heavy criticism from Gov. Ron DeSantis, the College Board released on Wednesday an official curriculum for its new Advanced Placement course in African American Studies — stripped of much of the subject matter that had angered the governor and other conservatives.
The College Board purged the names of many Black writers and scholars associated with critical race theory, the queer experience and Black feminism. It ushered out some politically fraught topics, like Black Lives Matter, from the formal curriculum.
And it added something new: ‘Black conservatism’ is now offered as an idea for a research project.”
You just cannot make-up merde like this.

I don’t want to think about this too deeply. Too close to January. Maybe, “sometimes a riot is just an insurrection”?

January 6 was not a riot. It was a sloppily planned and not particularly well executed insurrection that nevertheless came perilously close to working.
If Pence had gotten into that car when the Secret Service told him to, the Senate would have thrown the election to the House and they WOULD have chosen Trump as the winning candidate.
If the rioters hadn’t been lead astray by Officer Goodman, they would have seized most of the senators.
The were HUNTING Nancy Pelosi.
The Oath Keepers were ready to bring in loads of weaponry to the scene from across the Potomac
We came within a whisker of losing the country.

It really depends on when they were supposed to go off, or if they were even part of the bigger plan and not some yahoo freelancing.
1: Before the rally turned insurrection, the security presence would have been massively higher. If the threat was considered dire enough, it could have postponed the EV certification giving Trump time to solidify the ‘alternate electors’ plot
2: DURING the Insurrection it would have potentially drawn security forces away from the Capitol
