George Santos

You know, Spurious George, when you’ve drawn the attention of the FEC for an unusual number of just-under-the-threshold campaign expenses, and updated your FEC report saying that you DID NOT give your campaign $500K Ameros (and so raising the question of exactly WHO DID, especially since the limit is $2,900), now is of course the time to lie about who your campaign treasurer is:
On Wednesday, several fundraising committees associated with the freshman congressman from New York filed amendments to their statements of organizations, notifying the Federal Election Commission of a new treasurer.
But the newly listed treasurer, Thomas Datwyler, a veteran campaign finance treasurer who has served on multiple other political organizations, says he does not work for the Santos campaign and that the filings were signed under his name without his consent.
“On Monday, we informed the Santos campaign that Mr. Datwyler would not be serving as treasurer,” Datwyler’s attorney Derek Ross told ABC News. “It appears that there’s been a disconnect between that conversation and the filings today, which we did not authorize.”
It would be a career-ending move to be the treasurer for Grift, Inc. This is going to be an interesting story to follow. I mean, it is one thing to create out of thin air your own backstory, but to invent a treasurer? That’s a whole different level of bananas.
Rule #1 when digging yourself into a deep hole is to stop digging. Apparently Spurious George didn’t get the memo or is so invested in his fraud that he just can never be straight with anyone ever again…

His plan is to keep digging till he comes out the other side. Somewhere in Russia perhaps.
