As a member of the GOP, long story, I have observed that this party does have certain things in common with grenades: As a collective the party has a history of coming apart under the pressure of hate and bigotry with enough force to wound, maim, kill anyone in the vicinity, friend or foe, and generally leave a path of destruction in our wake.
