Faceberg has restored Hair Füror’s accounts to Facebook and Instagram:
Former President Donald Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts are being reinstated, the social media giant Meta announced Wednesday — a little more than two years after he was suspended from the platforms over incendiary posts on the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol.
Trump’s accounts will be reinstated “in the coming weeks” and come with “new guardrails in place to deter repeat offenses,” Nick Clegg, president, global affairs at Meta, said in a statement. Meta owns Facebook and Instagram.
What’s a little insurrection and seditious conspiracy between friends, amiright?
Trump celebrated the announcement on his social media platform Truth Social.
“FACEBOOK, which has lost Billions of Dollars in value since ‘deplatforming’ your favorite President, me, has just announced that they are reinstating my account. Such a thing should never again happen to a sitting President, or anybody else who is not deserving of retribution!” he wrote.
Always gracious.
I wonder how long before he gets banned again?

So being banned is retribution, not protection of the community or the company providing that community’s space. OK.

Meta President of Global Affairs Nick Clegg, the former Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, said in a statement announcing it is lifting its suspension of the ex-president despite his increased engagement with far right extremists. Clegg’s “reasoning” behind lifting the ban was that enough time has passed since imposing the ban that the “risk for political violence has diminished substantially”, and that there will be new “guardrails” in place to re-impose the ban for a specific period of time if Trump violates the guidelines.
I’m sorry, but that’s the dumbest fucking thing I’ve heard all day.
