Popcorn, anyone?
The WaPo tells us that there is a lot of strategizing going on behind the scenes on the debt, but this one particular idea buried in the middle of the article shows us something interesting from President Handsome Joe Biden:
The Biden administration is focused on pressing the GOP to unveil a debt limit plan that includes spending cuts, with the hope that such a proposal will prove so divisive among Republicans that they are forced to abandon brinkmanship. This strategy stems in part from the belief among White House officials that it would be enormously risky either to negotiate policy with the GOP on the debt limit or try to solve it via executive order — and they appear willing to put that premise to the test.
Yup, that’s a good idea. It’s one thing to bleat out waste, fraud and abuse, but it is entirely another thing to tell farmers that the subsidies end now.
Every government program has champions, so let’s see them fight amongst themselves, in public, without any leaders (Hi K-Mac!), strategy, or proposals.
Always make them own it. Always.

That’s great. Make the GQP come up with a plan. They are of course incapable of any such thing. Meanwhile, get business done while they have their freakout. I love it. Brilliant politicking.
More like this, please.

As Sylvester the Cat would say, and I paraphrase: “They are fucking despicable, lacking in all basic decency, empathy, honesty…And, that, that is just the prelude. The worst narcissist ain’t got nuttin’ on them. Their depravity and destructive behavior seems aimed at every thing living. They have no concept of the present, only a level of cruelty directly linked to their joy in spreading it far and wide. They murdered Marquess of Queensberry along with satire, irony, any sense of humor. “Dead for a Dollar”, That much? They replied…
