PA Cheese Has Slipped Off Their Cracker

It’s all bananas!

The GOP Autopsy in Pennsyltucky might want to look at the NYTimes this morning and save themselves $100K Ameros:

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — On the 797th day after the defeat of former President Donald J. Trump, a rural Pennsylvania county on Monday began a recount of ballots from Election Day 2020.

Under pressure from conspiracy theorists and election deniers, 28 employees of Lycoming County counted — by hand — nearly 60,000 ballots. It took three days and an estimated 560 work hours, as the vote-counters ticked through paper ballots at long rows of tables in the county elections department in Williamsport, a place used to a different sort of nail-biter as the home of the Little League World Series.

The results of Lycoming County’s hand recount — like earlier recounts of the 2020 election in Wisconsin, Georgia and Arizona — revealed no evidence of fraud. The numbers reported more than two years ago were nearly identical to the numbers reported on Thursday.

Keep expecting different results, boys. Maybe this time it will be different.

Did that quell the doubts of election deniers, who had circulated a petition claiming there was a likelihood of “rampant fraud” in Lycoming in 2020?

It did not.

“This is just one piece of the puzzle,” said Karen DiSalvo, a lawyer who helped lead the recount push and who is a local volunteer for the far-right group Audit the Vote PA. “We’re not done.”

Of course not. As Forrest Lehman, the county director of elections said, “You close one election-denying door, they’ll open a window.” And they will promptly sprout wings and take flight.

Keep counting till you get the number you want. Brilliant. Even if they got the number they were looking for, do they really think that would influence the rest of the country to start a recount too? Awful proud of the power of their votes, aren’t they?

  3. Before the commissioners voted for the recount, Ms. DiSalvo and Mr. Stroehmann presented the results of what they called a door-to-door canvass of some county residences. The canvassing was conducted by volunteers from Audit the Vote PA

The loons kept threatening this here in TTSKoA; I suspect the odds of being greeted with a baseball bat or shotgun dissuaded them.

Who pays for this bullshit? The local taxpayers?

I was wondering about that too. The tax payers were long over with this shit, it should be paid for by the people complaining.

I seem to remember some questionable votes, like the three states that Repub operatives were overheard talking about prior to the 2016 election, and Ms. Green footed the bill to do recounts. It was something like “close but not automatic-recount close, so some candidate (?) has to pay”.
        So what about this recount?
