Last week, I told my wife that Katie Porter was reading a book (“The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck”) while the crazy caucus was showing their asses. She wasn’t sure who Katie Porter was. I said imagine a younger version of Elizabeth Warren, and that she should also run for the senate.

Ms Porter is a singular Force for good. Well, there is also her mentor who is in the Senate, Ms Warren. I hope that my Congresswoman, who is sitting next to Katie Porter in that photo, absorbed some of that energy and no-bullshit attitude. But I doubt it.

While I’m delighted that Katie will be our senator, she is currently my congressperson, and we will never have the likes of her again in this district. She makes me proud of where I live, and that’s saying a lot given that the Real Housewives are my neighbors.
