    Just be careful who you presume is ‘disabled or not’; a friend has MS, and a Disabled tag, gets hassled all the time about ‘taking a spot for a disabled person’

    Yeah he may be walking just fine going in to Costco, but by the time he’s coming back out it’s a different story, because fatigue worsens his issues.

    Heck my dad would get hassled by people saying ‘You can walk!’ as he got out of the car limping.

    Then he’d pull up his pants leg to show them the artificial leg…

      I cannot tell you how much those special parking zones helped my Vet dad. Sure he looked fine, but if he took off his shirt and you saw the exit wound, you would shudder. So I know not to judge by looks or even activity.

        I had a close friend who was horribly disfigured when serving in Vietnam, but his injuries were so obvious that no one questioned him when he parked in the disabled spot. He’s gone now having taken his own life because of his looks. I liked him a lot. He was one of my smartest friends, and had a great sense of humor. I still miss him…

    I also disagree…stupidity is most definitely a disability, just not one that gets you the close parking space…

      I agree that stupidity is a disability, but if you’re that stupid why would the DMV issue you a driver’s license. Speaks poorly for our government’s institutions…
