Axios’ morning email thingie gives us the smart brevity, practically a Tweet (except for all the weird formatting):
Twitter users around the world reported problems accessing the website last night, Axios’ Rebecca Falconer writes.
- Elon Musk tweeted: “Works for me.”
Why it matters: Any outage in the Musk era draws intense scrutiny.
- It appeared to be the first widespread outage since Musk took over in October.
- Outages lasted a few hours, per Downdetector.
Musk later said Twitter rolled out “significant backend server architecture changes” to make it feel faster — though it’s unclear if that caused the outage.
It’s starting to break exactly the way that engineers said it would. It’s really a testimony to how well-built the thing was that it has taken this long. Expect some more.
Also Elongated Muskrat came out yesterday:
So, uhhh, good for them? I hear finally admitting to the world who your true self is is quite liberating.

OK, D-Cap, you made me guffaw! I’m now going to hear that anytime he is mentioned by his surname (instead of Space Karen).

Pray tell, did Phony Stark also buy Southwest Airlines? That would explain a lot.

Prices on used Teslas are plummeting.
And the banks are starting to get nervous.

Umm. I wonder what he thinks about adjectives? And then there’s also adverbs. Several of each come to mind whenever I hear Space Karen’s name. Personally I’m not really into gender labeling but stupid people are fair play.

E.M.Forster wrote ” The Machine Stops” in 1904. It touches on lockdown living, but as problems develop with the machine, people try to excuse the faults and there’s nobody there who can carry out the repairs.
It’s uncanny.
