   We have new dogs in the neighborhood who howl at sirens, and they’ve recruited others. (and there’s a lot of ’em…we’re about ½ mile from a fire department and the major street to the north of us has a hospital with a trauma center about the same distance/)

   Reminds me of our previous residence (back-to-back duplexes with 4 yards the met in a corner.) All the dogs in the yards would get together and howl in that corner whenever a siren sounded.

   Weirdly enough, when we moved to our current house, our dogs never howled again.

   Dogs! Best thing humans ever made. Humans! Best thing dogs ever made or at least might be when the training is done.
