    I have Comcast. They’ve been fairly decent as a provider. Yesterday, I upgraded to a new modem, and it was Hell getting back on the nets. Here’s hoping that your issues get resolved…

    Comcast sucks, but SBC Global with their POTS dsl modems are in a whole different class of massive suckage. And they’re my only real options.

    Bare internet on Comcast for me. They don’t have a single cable package that doesn’t pay Fox $2 and change of my money every month.

      Comcast has an effective muni-monopoly here in the Emerald City, and there’s really nothing we can do about it. Several mayors ago they killed off municipal broadband (the city has fiber optic cable already in place and could offer it as an alternative), but the bribe took and here we are.

        Now I want to know more.
        One of the issues we had with Comcast (internet and cable, some time ago) was our own cabling issue. Sure, the help desk could have told us that if our picture was tiling we probably needed to upgrade our coax cable, but where would the fun and the upselling be if they did that?
