Yeah, I’d like to see Ginni unhappy! But seriously, I’m thinking there are more Republican women than we may know who are hoping the rest of us turn out and defeat the Republicans running. Of course we’ll never know. And I can be naive about people.

Just some anecdata…I went to our local polling place to drop off our mail ballots (we procrastinated as usual) and the parking lot was packed! A bunch steady stream of folks coming in and the place was full. Lady working there said it was massively busy all day long.

I have a bright spot to share: despite Republican redistricting here in KS, specifically done to deprive Rep. Sharice Davids of her seat in the US House, she still won. I don’t know about the other races; I’m trying to wait until tomorrow, but happened to catch this one, and it’s a most excellent result. One Dem. House seat safe for 2 more years.

Just tried to sign up to Mastodon, but it didnt work. Too buggy, I guess. Maybe in a few years the technology will be mature – ha! They still say that about Linux.

I got there. I’d signed up a while back after the former owner said Nazis need a platform, too. More recently, I was on an art server, but in the mess of the more recent expansion at Mastodon, I changed passwords but it didn’t work. Now I’m on as @ARedFord@mastodon.social . I haven’t found Tengrain yet, but I did follow EmptyWheel, so there’s that!
