Does Area Scrapbooker Have More Mementos? Some Say Yes, Maybe!

H/T Scissorhead Skinny-D

There’s (probably) more stolen documents:

Justice Department officials have demanded in recent weeks to former President Donald Trump’s attorneys that he return any outstanding documents marked as classified, making clear they do not believe he has returned all materials taken when he left the White House, a person familiar with the outreach told CNN.

The Justice officials – including Jay Bratt, a top lawyer in the Department of Justice’s national security division – have communicated to Trump’s attorneys that he has an ongoing obligation to return the documents marked as classified.

We know that the materials seized from Merde-a-Lardo contained many empty classified folders, and so that might be why the DOJ thinks they haven’t gotten everything back. Or maybe they watched Ivanna’s Trump’s ashes taking 6 stout men to carry in a casket?

It stands to reason that the DOJ knows to some degree what is missing (at least from inside the empty folders) so there could be another search warrant for another property at some point. I really would guess the trash palace in NJ where TFG had the Saudis for the recent LIV golf tournament (and document sales).

This story is far from over.

If only this wasn’t “Bizzaro World” where everything is backward. Donny would be in jail, his many homes and offices would have been thoroughly searched, and all the stolen papers would have been accounted for, one way or another.
But no, he is free, papers have likely left the country, and the whole thing is becoming a kind of joke.
    Law and Order, my ass.

Funny how the Ruskies never admitted to having or reading Hillary’s emails but they have admitted to reading TFG’s classified documents. Fascinating really.

In the amount of time that the feds waited for various responses from tfg to their attempts to get those documents return they have probably had ample opportunity to take inventory.
Admittedly, I don’t know the procedures around classified documents, but I’d bet real money that there are ways they are tracked. Even if their contents cannot be revealed in any way, there has to be a way to, for example, note that document “X” has “y” pages and is included in the list of classified documents “N through Z” for inventory purposes.
