Meanwhile, In Floriduh…

Gov. DeSantis prepares to swat voters snouts.

Texas Bexar County sheriff Javier Salazar has opened a criminal investigation of Floriduh Goblin, er, Governor Ron DeSantis and his inhumane stunt in which he and his toadies and minions kidnapped 50 Venezuelan asylum seekers from Texas to Floriduh, and then on to Martha’s Vineyard under false pretenses:

Javier Salazar, the sheriff of Bexar County, where San Antonio is located, said in a news release Monday that his office is investigating whether the migrants were victims of crimes:

“The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office has opened an investigation into the migrants that were lured from the Migrant Resource Center, located in Bexar County, TX, and flown to Florida, where they were ultimately left to fend for themselves in Martha’s Vineyard, MA.

“Additionally, we are working with private attorneys who are representing the victims, as well as advocacy organizations regarding this incident. We are also preparing to work with any federal agencies that have concurrent jurisdiction, should the need arise.”

Salazar held a Facebook Live news conference over the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office page, answering reporters’ questions.

“What we understand is a Venezuelan migrant was paid a bird-dog fee to recruit 50 migrants who were then were lured — and I will use the word ‘lured’ under false pretenses — to staying in a hotel for a few days, then taken to an airplane where they were flown to Florida and then Martha’s Vineyard under false pretenses of being offered jobs,” Salazar said. “For what we can gather, a little more than a photo op, a video op, and then they were left there.”

Goblin, er, Governor DeSantis replies:

It is opportunistic that activists would use illegal immigrants for political theater. If these activists spent even a fraction of this time and effort at the border, perhaps some accountability would be brought to the Biden Administration’s reckless border policies that entice illegal immigrants to make dangerous and often lethal journeys through Central America and put their lives in the hands of cartels and Coyotes.

The careful reader will note that the statement refers to the transported individuals as A) illegal immigrants when, in fact, they are asylum seekers,  and 2)  the statement does nothing to push back against the actual charges being leveled against the goblin, er, governor.

I think the goblin is gonna be seeing more of these suits.

Yeah, the quote, “It is opportunistic that activists would use illegal immigrants for political theater. Self awareness has never been his strong point…

There is now a class action suit filed for this group by a coalition of immigration legal services. Or so I’ve read.
And DeSantis – that’s the “I’m rubber and you’re glue” defense, AKA industrial grade projection.

It is opportunistic that politicians would use illegal immigrants for political theater especially when activists don’t bypass the legal system as said anarchist gubnors just did in this case. Also too.

I had to look up “bird-dog fee”. Translated, it means pretty much what i thought. Also , too – why do these criminals always talk all folksy when they are lying to us. It’s almost like they think we are stupid. Probably we are.
