Tiger Beat (again) email thingie brings us the exciting news that Crown Prince Bone Saw is lobbying Congress, albeit indirectly:
FIRST IN PLAYBOOK — Daniel Lippman reports that Greg Norman, the Australian golfer-turned-CEO of LIV Golf, is coming to Washington to meet with members of Congress and attempt to reshape the golf tour’s public image amid ongoing criticism of its Saudi ties.
“LIV Golf is coming to the Hill this week to meet with lawmakers from both parties,” spokesperson Jonathan Grella told Playbook in a statement. “Given the PGA Tour’s attempts to stifle our progress in reimagining the game, we think it’s imperative to educate members on LIV’s business model and counter the Tour’s anti-competitive efforts.” ICYMI: “LIV golf lobbies up,” by Hailey Fuchs
That stupid golf tournament is rumored to be how Lord Damp Nut is passing state secrets to the Saudis, who, you know, paid Jar-Jar for them fair and square (ALLEGEDLY).
I cannot imagine that many of the Democrats in Congress are going to fall for it, but I’m also sure that many of the Republicans in Congress will take the money and run.

The pro golfers who played for Prince Bonesaw will at least need new shoes.
One of my favorite bits from “Kids In The Hall” about golf.

Okay, stupid question here…what on earth does golf have to do with government? Sure, I know many play golf to curry favour, but in terms of governmental business why would this be?
Or is it just more of the same old lobbying stuff, in full view?
