Surprise! Republicans Committed Voter Fraud

The Modern Republican Party

Voter Fraud is real, y’all, and it is being committed by Republicans:

New York (CNN)A Republican elections official in an upstate New York county is accused of illegally using personal identifying information of voters to apply for absentee ballots that are alleged to have been used in 2021 elections, the Department of Justice said Tuesday.

Jason Schofield, the Republican Board of Elections commissioner of Rensselaer County, was arraigned Tuesday on an indictment charging him with unlawfully using the names and dates of birth of voters to fraudulently apply for absentee ballots for 2021 elections in his county, prosecutors said in a news release…

He faces 12 counts of unlawful possession and use of a means of identification, per the indictment. If found guilty, he could face up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000, the DOJ said in a statement.

So, if I am reading that correctly —always a dicey assumption— then Schofield was stealing identities, too. It takes a special kind of stupid to commit multiple felonies in the name of Hair Füror.

    Twelve counts?
That isn’t even enough to swing the election, so he’s incompetent as well as criminal.
    I’m probably missing something, though.

That ought to get him re-elected. Especially if he’s found guilty. tRump’s Murica won’t tolerate such a loss.

I can only guess he was trying to get himself elected (2021 county elections). Still, a lot of work – he actually requested the absentee ballots, and took at least some of them to the voter to have the envelope signed but the ballot not marked. The voters did not request his assistance, so why would they do this? Anyway, the county has 160,000 people, so even in an off-year local primary election, it would take quite a few votes to make a difference. On the other hand, he apparently won.

And the Republicans accuse the Democrats of voter fraud.
They always accuse us of doing the stuff they’re already doing.
