Meanwhile, In Pennsylvania

Civil war enthusiast, Christian Nationalist, January 6 Rioter, and candidate for governor Doug Mastriano is NOT moving to the center in the general election and prefers to bear hug The Big Lie and Hair Füror, hoping the base will burn down the Reichstag for him:

Since winning the primary in May with 44 percent of the vote — after snagging a last-minute endorsement from former president Donald Trump and surviving a late scramble to consolidate the vote against him — Mastriano has eschewed the typical path of reorienting his campaign toward the middle. Instead, he has held fast to the same issues that drove his rise after attending the Stop the Steal rally in Washington on Jan. 6, 2021, and openly embracing Christian nationalism.

But many Republicans say Mastriano’s focus on base voters has made it hard for him to raise money and broaden his appeal, hurting the party’s chances in November. Mastriano’s latest campaign finance report showed less than $400,000 as of June, and the campaign hasn’t bought any airtime on local TV. He only grants interviews to friendly outlets such as right-wing talk radio and the podcast hosted by former Trump adviser Stephen K. Bannon. The campaign did not respond to requests for comment for this article.

If this is a red wave year, that might be enough, but as it looks more and more like a red ripple Mastriano is likely in trouble; the RNC has cut his donations, even . We maintain that politics is the art of addition, so working feverishly to NOT add to your coalition seems like a doomed strategy.

  2. Crazy Lake here in AZ appears to be following in his dumb footsteps, clinging to the SS Big Lie (SS in this case stands for Sinking Ship) She and the treasonweasel Mark Finchem (running for Secretary of State) just got slapped down by a state judge with their demand that this election be counted by hand only no spacelazer Italian thermostat hacking chinese/venezuelan/antifa voting machines allowed.

Keep telling all your people that elections are corrupt and voting is useless, folks!

50% of the population has recently become woke, so there’s also that. When they solved the abortion issue they removed their most substantial campaign plank from the table. Everything else is a broken record.

  5. Just found the whole picture, and there was one more cosplayer, no ir=dea who he’s supposed to be (I thought it was s a member of the Green Moutain Boys, but a quick googling proved that wrong. H’es carrying a flintlock though, so is unlikely to be a Southern Traitor)

On a little reflection, I think the guy without pants was out for a run when they said “Gotta come over and pose for the faculty picture!” and he threw on a suitcoat over his tee shirt and shorts…
