One Lump of Stupid or Two, Oz?

$4 asparagus (and what a steal! I must find this ‘Wegner’s’) to dip, raw, into, uh, salsa. Quite a party you’re throwing there, Oz.

I am gobsmacked. Crudités, really? This is supposed to make Oz look like a PA everyman?

    • Mike B. says:

Oz is who he is. Maybe it’s better (for Fetterman, at least) if he doesn’t get someone to make him seem an everyman. Then again, to be fair (which I hate to do), Obama did say “Anybody gone into Whole Foods lately and see what they charge for arugula?” during his campaign (in Iowa), and was mocked for it.

      • Yeah, not coincidentally he was talking to a bunch of farmers who raise stuff like arugula, and how their way of farming was a strong path to the future for family farms in a world of corporate factory farming.

That one’s up there with ‘Algore claims he invented the internet’ and the ‘Dean Scream’ of the media putting their thumbs (and the case of Dean, their feet, elbows, and a convenient baby elephant) on the scales in the search for cheap laughs and hit pieces.

(note two of the guys who arguably DID ‘invent the internet’, Vint Cerf and Robert Kahn, two of the authors of TCP/IP, the communications protocol that is the foundation of the Internet, defended his important contributions. The modern commercial internet would not exist without Gore’s legislative efforts.,net.txt )

But you know the old adage about lies traveling halfway around the world before the truth can out on it’s pants…

And all this time I thought crudité was what you were called when you did a lot of swears.

    • I loved the bit where he bought one stalk of broccoli, one package of asparagus and five pounds of carrots.

Who was coming to his wife’s party? Bugs Bunny??

  3. Even more stupidity. He calls the store “Wegners”. There is no grocery chain in PA (or ANYWHERE) called “Wegners”

There is Wegmans (the store he’s in) which is a higher-end grocery chain in the Northeast (my wife worked in one when she lived in Rochester) and Redners chain in PA.

Fetterman continues to be the luckiest damned candidate on the planet to have such a transparently fake, out of touch opponent.

It’s like he’s running against Alan Tudyk’s alien character in Resident Alien.

Sounds like ingredients in one of the Mystery Box Challenges they’d hand a realityTV chef. Broccoli, asparagus and carrot with guac, salsa and tequila? Are there chips?
