A complete story, two fewer words than prior record holder Ernest Hemingway. That’s not nothing.

Yeah, so far, so good! As to that. However, Kris Kobach stands to win the Repub nom for AG, while Derek Schmidt (R-never saw a filing fee too high for KS taxpayers to pay to further the RW agenda) stands to win the Repub nom for Gov. Maybe Gov Kelly can beat him, and we’re certainly going to try! And thanks for the stats on the amendment-I’ve been sweating that!

I’m sure everyone knows by now that the good guys won (59-41). This gives me hope that Kansas is still at least somewhat what i remember from years ago. It was always Republican, but there were the religious Republicans and the business Republicans, and the latter sometimes decided that a moderate Democrat was better for business than a fire-breathing Republican. So there are often Democratic governors – Docking (and others) a long time ago, Sebelius more recently (until Obama stole her for his cabinet), and Laura Kelly now. Also, a lot of the conservatives were (and hopefully some still are) “mind your own business” conservatives, not necessarily wanting the government to tell people what to do.

Congrats, Ali. I’d be taking the win personally, at least for the duration of the celebration. Or until it’s time to buckle down and go for another win.

Whew! I think relief is the thing; celebrating the relief that it came out well for the greater good. The way Mike described things is how they used to be here, but people went really rightwing repressed during the Clinton admin; plenty of armed teabaggers voting nuts into office who sometimes don’t realize that words mean things, especially in statutes. I really thought all the moderate Republicans had either become Dems or moved out of state. I sure wish they’d awaken a little more often…

    Howdy y’all!

Seriously, who else would you want to be rimmed by than by a passionate person? Why is this even a question. It goes without saying. Either you’re into it or you’re not.

    Huzzah!
