What Jon Stewart Said

We are not sure why the Republicans blocked the PACT Act—which would expand access to health care for veterans exposed to burn pits, and subsequently diagnosed with rare cancers and respiratory illnesses—from advancing, but they did.

And comedian Jon Stewart is having none of it (10 minutes long, but is a good/great rant, with lots of swears, and not funny at all):

So John Stewart finally, at long last, can say that it’s Republicans who are the problem instead of his usual congress both sides nonsense.
Regarding the question of why Republicans balked after having previously voted in a bipartisan fashion for a long overdue measure to benefit veterans – isn’t it obvious, they are Republicans and they do not give a damn about anything other than power, undermining Democrats and tax cuts for rich fuckwads.

Because they were pissed at the reconciliation deal, and they’re exclusively concentrating on vengeance on the American people.

    • Steve Daines is on Montana TV saying “If the Democrats want to pass climate bills we won’t let them pass veteran’s bills.”

Furrowed Collins is whining that it was just no fair to pass that reconciliation bill (which I repeat HAS NOT PASSED because HRH Curtsey Sinema has not assented to it.) because they just passed several bipartisan bills and how DARE the Democrats act like they are the majority party or something.

So she’s gonna pass on marriage equality.

So yeah, revenge, plain and simple.
