UPDATED: Bannon Found Guilty

WASHINGTON — A jury on Friday found former Donald Trump adviser Steve Bannon guilty on two counts of contempt of Congress for blowing off the Jan. 6 select committee.

Bannon’s sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 21 when he will face a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 30 days and up to one year behind bars. He could also be fined $100 to $100,000. He is expected to appeal.

UPDATE 1: Bannon’s sentencing is scheduled for October 21 when he will face a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 30 days and up to one year behind bars —for each  of his 2 counts, something that the coverage keeps missing. He could have them run concurrently or consecutively, so his constant spouting off and showing a complete lack of remorse makes me think that he’s aiming for full martyrdom.

  1. Damn, jury didn’t even score lunch out of the deal. One wonders how many of ’em raced home to take Silkwood showers after being in the same courtroom as Three Shirts.

No pity for that fool. I hope the penalty is harsh.

“He is expected to appeal.” Ok now, the fact of the matter is that he has zero appeal to anyone anyhow…

I am a primitive thinker. I don’t think we should just shoot him and feed his disgusting corpse to his friends. Maybe we can just banish him from public life forever. Maybe we can send him to Mar a Lago and let his friends take care of him. Can we push him down the stairs? Maybe he can have a fishing accident? Alligators? Sharks? A heartattack? I don’t want to hear anything more about this nasty slob. I never heard anyone say anything good about this guy.

I think that Bannon should use the phrase “Trump it!” to signify starting the appeal process or any delaying tactic. As in “I’m going to Trump it.” Because he just loves him some Trump.
