Next Up: Marriage Equality

Just as the Dems did following the overturn of Roe v. Wade by our #IllegitimateSCOTUS, Dems are now making their move to shore-up marriage equality via legislation:

What’s happening: The House this week will vote on legislation shoring up the right to same-sex marriage, amid a dissent from Justice Clarence Thomas questioning a prior Supreme Court decision.

Of course, just like the bill that codifies Roe, it will thud up against the Senate blockade.

Of course, of course: This legislation likely faces a death sentence in the Senate, but it would be fascinating to get a floor vote to gauge support of same-sex marriage. Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) is a co-sponsor.

And will anyone be shocked when the Republicans are shown to be bigots as well as misogynists?

Why this is relevant: Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said on his podcast that the Supreme Court was “clearly wrong” when it legalized same-sex marriage. We’ll see if that view has a broader constituency within the GOP.

It won’t.

I assume you mean “It does” on the last line, unless I’m missing something (always possible).

Yeah- this has been on their to-do list for a hot minute. They will do everything they can to take us back to the “good old daze” where the skirts and the blehs knew their place.
