The terrible sand people of the terrible sand kingdom of Arizonastan.
Talk about not knowing how to read the room:
Telling a bunch of old people in the Terrible Sand Kingdom of Arizona that he’s taking away Social Security is an 11th-dimensional chess move.
10 dimensions too many. It’s a recipe, if followed, for widespread poverty. and would affect mostly his (Republican) voters. Not sure they’re on board for having cat food for dinner…

Sadly, I know Arizona Republican voters. If a sufficiently Republican leopard runs they’ll line up to feed their faces to it.
Besides, surely he’s not talking about their Social Security! Only those moochers Social Security!
These are the same folks who mobbed the ACA Town
15 Minutes Hate SessionsHalls with signs about “Keep the Government out of my Medicare!”Look at Rusty Bowers.
Trump literally sicced a mob on his family making his dying daughter’s last days even more miserable and he comes back with tears in his eyes “Thank you Sir! May I have another!”

Knowing that they will be grandfathered out makes the attendees especially evil. They got theirs.

I think the important point here is that he has proposed privatizing Social Security. The rubes in the room have been conditioned to believe that businesses who are driven by profit & greed will do a better job of protecting their hard earned income (read: handouts to all of those who are visibly different) than dumb old government.
Look how well medical insurance works.
We’re the best country in the world!
