K-Mac’s Political Machine Hard At Work

Would-be Speaker of the house, current Minority Leader, and hapless California Represenative K-Mac, who is extremely bad at politics,  cannot get a break:

Former President Donald Trump called it a “bad decision” by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to completely withdraw from the January 6 Committee…

When the committee was being formed in the aftermath of the Capitol riot, McCarthy tried to appoint Jordan and Banks as members, but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi rejected both of them on the grounds that they promoted Trump’s lies about the election. McCarthy furiously withdrew all of his other picks from the committee in retaliation, though his reaction to the events of January 6 have come under renewed intrigue due to his unearthed recorded comments about Trump and the Capitol riot

As the interview went on, Trump seemed to take a subtle dig at McCarthy over the possibility of whether he’ll be Speaker of the House if Republicans sweep the 2022 midterms. Root was saying that Trump endorsed McCarthy for the position when the ex-president interjected “No, I haven’t. No, I haven’t. No, I endorsed him in his race, but I haven’t endorsed anyone for Speaker.”

So let’s see: K-Mac has lost Reps. 3-Names, Bobo, America’s Aging Prom Date, and many other back benchers, and now Hair Füror, which essentially means that if the Republicans get the gavel, it is very likely that K-Mac will have have it in his inept hands.

So we ended up with a committee of mostly sensible and dedicated Democrats, instead of one that was supposed to contain numerous GQP nutjobs. So far they have performed intelligently, effectively and admirably. I don’t see any downside here…

blockquote> and two Republicans the rest of the party promptly turned into mortal enemies. At the urging of Lord Damp Nut himself.

The wonder is that this goddamned traitor is still at large, and able to think at all that he still has clout. And even with all the J6 Committee has exposed, the prion disease that infects the GQP just keeps getting worse. Damn, we need indictments of these criminals . . . and for that we have . . . Merrick Garland, the weakest, most pathetic AG in American history.
