  1. The person who clings hardest to a con is the mark, because otherwise they have to face the humiliation that they were conned.

Republicans LOVE being the victim. I think this had legs, BDR.

Otherwise, totally agree: Crypto, for instance.

I don’t know if that’s true. Seems to me that technically it should be true, but TFG created a movement where questions aren’t allowed. And true to form his dimbulb marks will never ask, but will keep sending their hard earned cash thinking(?) that re-enstatement is just around the corner…

It is very rare that I click a video but I’m really glad I did this time. This argument is well structured, and really not demeaning to those who have been victimized.

As has been noted, Republicanism/Conservatism has naturally evolved into a religion (or cult, they’re really the same thing). It’s a perfect structure, really because it serves the purpose of the leadership who need supplicants to grift and control, while also serving the needs of those who require constant confirmation of their fears and hate, while not being asked to burn any calories thinking. The host of this video has done a wonderful job of explaining this in a manner that does not insult the patsies (like I just did, and will continue to do).

Asking the supplicants to think about how they’ve been manipulated, or to consider hard evidence, may be a bit of a tall order, but if we chip away a bit at a time, eh?

Yeah, I liked the way that she didn’t blame them, but made it clear who she did blame. It’s a fine balancing act. That is a path forward for them, if they can hear it.
