Some of the kids in the doomed Uvalde classroom made 911 calls during the melee asking for help. Those recordings should be made public.
I’ve advocated in many forums that the crime scene pictures should be released, too.
Let Americans see what these automatic weapons actually do, and maybe that will shock them into turning off stupid reality teevee shows and demand some action. Show MeeMaw and Popop in Possum Hollar what happened to someone else’s grandkids and let them draw their own conclusions.
I’ve had shocked reaction when I suggest this, but I am reminded that the nightly news during the Vietnam War showed the bodies and coffins coming home and that was what finally turned the public opinion to get out of that quagmire.
First off (like Ten Grain), I think all of the recordings should become public record. Second, here is a recent ad for Daniel Defense, the maker of the weapon used at Robb elementary. It will piss you off…

Incredibly sad that we are to the point of resorting to whatever it takes, and it may take shocking images, since the right is fine with displaying photos of aborted fetal matter.
And I believe the right is now happy for all the chatter about Uvalde to be about the police response, taking the focus off the idea of gun control legislation.

I want them to release the body cam footage from the cops that were in the hallway. I want to know what went on.

Someday, some parent will realize the best thing they can do to honor the life of their dead child is to follow the example of Emmett Till’s mother, Mamie Bradley.
The choice is obvious: provide for the common defense and promote the general Welfare, or support the freedom to buy a weapon of war to murder kids. I know which side I’m on.

Uvalde’s only pediatrician said one of the kids had their head practically blown off. Weapons of war do stuff like that.
An anonymous donor has put up $175.000 to pay for the funeral expenses of all the murdered kids. And coincidentally, prevent that kid’s parents from turning that child into the next Emmett Till. Money well spent by the gun lobby.

I absolutely agree with all of this. I can recall seeing newspaper photos of prominent assassinations in the US back when I was a child. I don’t know why they spare us these days, except that they must be afraid of the gun nuts.

Slide show of the crime scene should be shown on the Senate floor with mandatory attendance and shown live on C-span. Watch those bastards squirm.

Bob – I agree, and I would add that the public has to see it too. Only the voters can pressure their representatives to do something, so show it in prime time news on all the networks. Gotta get them away from watch The Voice (or whatevs) for just a few minutes so they can see what their lack of participation is allowing to happen.

Alas, my rep is Mary Miller. No pressure will move that rock. Her head is so far up the vulgarian’s ass she can only hear his racist farts. No representation for me. ( Does that mean I don’t have to pay taxes?).

If they don’t release them, leak them.

There are also statistics. Such as: School Shooters – n, Security Guards – 0, where n = current number of school shootings and 0 is a constant.

They used to show a film in Driver’s Education called “Mechanized Death” and it was gruesome. Fifty years later I still remember some scenes.

A movie called “Signal 30” was the main carnage car wreck film that we saw as High School kids back in the 60’s. Lots of dead, burnt, crushed bodies that put the “Living dead” movies in the category of Disney movies. But, there were around 3 or 4 movies of the same sort as “Signal 30” back in the day. They still didn’t have much impact on the death toll, not until seat belts and seat belt laws were passed that made it mandatory to wear one whenever the car was moving.

It was “Red Asphalt” (and it was so old that it was almost comical), but when it cut away from the bad acting to footage from actual crash scenes, I remember nearly hurling when someone’s brain fell out of their head when being removed from the car.
