Yes, the young girl is studiously putting in a real effort, good for her! Ivankaka is, as in everything, just a poser.
(Sorry I’m a bit of a guitar nerd) Wes Montgomery became one of the greats of jazz guitar plucking and strumming with just his thumb, he was the extraordinary exception to the common style of using a pick.

Why is the First Shady playing a guitar while the young girl is playing a ukulele? The young girl looks to be playing an A Major chord, and First Shady looks to be doing exactly nothing, holding the guitar the same way Dubya did when he was given one at some country music concert, an instrument he had no idea how to play either.
