      A very long time ago, I worked at Mickey D’s while in high school. It paid &0.50 per hour which sucked, but I got to take home numerous burgers, fries and milkshakes which helped a lot. I was a hungry young man back then and the family didn’t have the resources to properly feed us, so bringing home the “spoils” certainly was a boost to the family. This was after my father had retired from the Navy, and decided to go to school and become a Lutheran minister. Yeah, we were poor. As an aside, I never quite figured out why he (my dad) could spend years trying to kill the enemies of our “great” country and then turn around and try to start saving them. On of the mysteries of life I suppose…
