When it’s too early for this much stupid.
The useless, undemocratic (little dee), and retrograde Senate has observed the political climate following the surprising/not surprising revelation that the useless, undemocratic (little dee), and retrograde Supreme Court was going to overturn Roe v Wade and… voted to provide more security to the Justices:
Members of the US Senate passed a bipartisan bill Monday that would expand security protection to the immediate family members of Supreme Court justices, following recent protests at some justices’ homes.
The Supreme Court Police Parity Act was approved by unanimous consent, meaning no senators objected to its quick passage. The legislation must also be passed by the House before going to President Joe Biden’s desk for his signature.
Sens. John Cornyn, a Republican from Texas, and Chris Coons, a Democrat from Delaware, introduced the bipartisan bill called the Supreme Court Police Parity Act.
So what made the Senators to want to protect the Justices (other that professional courtesy), you ask?
A voice in the wilderness cries out!
The pearl clutching was spectucular:
I’m sort of old-fashioned in my belief that the secret is to try to govern in such a way that the citizens don’t want to protest in front of your homes.
I’m a little leary of these depictions, but it turns out that the Guardian has the background story…

Wondering what stopped these honorable men from not including a buffer zone around clinics in the same swiftly circulated Bill. All of them, honorable men.

This is just a practice run for when the protesters turn into the most feared of all protesters. Militant gays.

Bloody Bill should shut up and sit down. One of the men responsible for the illegal invasion of Iraq would, in a sane society, be shunned, and ignored like the vile blood-drenched warmonger that he is.
The lot of ’em should be off in the wilderness, wearing sackcloth and ashes contemplating their manifold sins in silence.

The response to stripping women of this right to personal autonomy is a protest.
The response to the protest is – to quickly (that’s ludicrous drive quickly) strip women and their supporters of their right to peaceful protest.
Objecting to doxing? That’s for them, not for the peasants or liberals.
