2nd Oath Keepers Plead Guilty to Seditious Conspiracy

That’s 2-fer-2 for the Oaf Keepers:

A second member of the extremist group Oath Keepers pleaded guilty Friday to seditious conspiracy in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol and will cooperate with federal prosecutors to avoid a possible multiyear prison term.

Brian Ulrich, 44, of Guyton, Ga., was arrested in August on charges of joining a group of right-wing Oath Keepers members who planned and organized travel to Washington, stashed firearms in an Arlington hotel, then sent several individuals with tactical gear, helmets and radios into the Capitol. The group’s leader, Stewart Rhodes, was arrested in January and charged with seditious conspiracy in a superseding indictment with Ulrich and nine others accused of plotting to impede President Biden’s January 2021 inauguration by force.

Ulrich pleaded guilty to two of five felony counts, seditious conspiracy and obstructing an official proceeding (Congress’s certification of the 2020 election results on Jan. 6). Each count is punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

Ulrich is cooperating with the feds, and as he was one of the people “providing security” for VIPs like Roger Stone, well, cooperation might have some trickle-down:

Ulrich was recorded in Washington providing security to longtime Donald Trump political adviser Roger Stone in January 2021. Ulrich is the third bodyguard who was seen with Stone on Jan. 5 or 6 to plead guilty in the Capitol rioting and the second in the seditious conspiracy case to do so…

…In Washington, Ulrich allegedly drove others in a golf cart to the Capitol after it was breached, “at times swerving around law enforcement vehicles,” according to court charging papers. He stayed in the building about 15 minutes, charging papers said.

Quick question. What sort of oath do the Oath Keepers keep?

    • Their sacred oath to protect their own ass by any means possible, apparently.

Everything up to Jan 6 as fun cosplay, until it wasn’t fun, or cosplay anymore. Now they’re finding out it’s their blood doing the tree watering (which was exactly what Jefferson meant when he said it…they just never read the entire context. He was talking about putting down the Whisky Rebellion. (iirc))

The other Giant Context Misses of Conservatism:

MLK’s one line “judged by the content of their character, not the color of their skin” does NOT mean MLK thought racism was over.

Shakespeare: “”The first thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers”. does NOT mean life would be great without lawyers.

Springsteen “I was born in the USA”. is NOT a patriotic anthem about how great the USA is.

Although pretty much everyone misses the context of that lawyers one, except people who have actually read ‘Henry VI’ .

The golf carts! I was wondering when they’d make their appearance again.
I remember they got a mention some months ago when it was reveald that hangers on of TFG were allegedly arranging golf cart rentals – don’t remember if they rented them from a TFG golf course, though. Hm…

I am not holding my breath in this administration, but I’d Love to see Roger Stone, and perhaps a few others of Donny’s buddies that were pardoned, go back to prison on equally serious charges. Since we don’t seem to be able to get Donny himself, I could relax a little if his pardoned henchmen get back to prison where they belong.
    Justice, doesn’t anyone remember it?
