Surprise! There Was Voter Fraud: Republicans

H/T Scissorhead Skinny-D

Twice-impeached LOSER ex-prznint Stupids lucky #4 chief of staff Mark Meadows (who was famously replaced in Congress by notable roller Nazi Madison Cawthorn) is in the news, this time not for Contempt of Congress or Insurrection, but for Voter Fraud:

Mark Meadows, a former top Trump aide, has been removed from the voter rolls in North Carolina as the state investigates allegations that he committed voter fraud in the 2020 election, election officials said Wednesday.

Oddly, instead of claiming mass voter fraud in the 2020 Goat Rodeo’s subsequent Big Lie, Meadows hisself is accused of voting fraudulently!

Meadows, who served two terms as a congressman from North Carolina before becoming President Donald Trump’s White House chief of staff, has helped promote Trump’s baseless claims that widespread voter fraud delivered the presidency to Joe Biden. But his withering rhetoric about potential voter fraud have clashed with reports in recent weeks that Meadows registered to vote in 2020 using the address of a North Carolina mobile home he never stayed in.
Those reports prompted North Carolina state investigators to launch a probe last month into Meadows’s voter registration. On Monday, Macon County officials “administratively removed the voter registration of Mark Meadows … after documentation indicated he lived in Virginia and last voted in the 2021 election there,” North Carolina State Board of Elections spokesman Patrick Gannon said in a statement Wednesday…
…Under North Carolina statute, a person who moves to and votes in another state or the District of Columbia loses their North Carolina residency.

Will he be prosecuted? Not a chance. The WaPo doesn’t even touch upon it.

  1. They will invariably use all the repugnicans voting fraudulently as evidence to proclaim that giant fraud does exist, and it’s all by those perfidious Dems.

It isn’t clear from this if he actually voted in two jurisdictions, but he went to some trouble to provide an address for the NC rolls.
To be fair, his cohort consistently claims that if a Dem dies and isn’t immediately yanked from the rolls that proves the entire Dem side committed fraud, whether that (dead) person’s name was used to vote or not, so that’s two strikes against Meadows – one for being signed up to vote where he wasn’t supposed to and one for, er, being signed up to vote where he wasn’t supposed to. That didn’t come out right.

I love the current division in the administration of justice in our country. Where a Black person can do serious time but a rich white guy isn’t been reprimanded for the exact same crime. It makes me sick to my stomach to be more accurate.

What exact same crime? I’ve seen similar infractions, but I haven’t read about a black person busted for deliberate voter fraud. There’s that one where a woman was told that she was now free to vote and then got busted for it. Trained trolls did jump on that and claim she did it on purpose, but I’ve seen no evidence of that. They also claimed that she’d been convicted of many felonies (six!!!) and when you follow up you’ll find she pled out on two cases.
But your basic point stands – serious double standards action.
