K-Mac Tries Witness Intimidation, You Know, Just For Kicks

K-Mac’s Political Machine Hard At Work

Sweet Jeebus on a cell phone, K-Mac is as dumb as he looks:

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) is threatening telecommunications and social media companies that comply with a request by the committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol by a pro-Trump mob, declaring that Republicans “will not forget” their actions…

…The panel on Monday asked 35 companies to retain phone records and other information related to the attack as it ramps up its investigation ahead of the return of Congress next month. Several of the companies indicated this week that they intend to comply with the panel’s requests, while only one so far has publicly said it will not do so.

“Adam Schiff, Bennie Thompson, and Nancy Pelosi’s attempts to strong-arm private companies to turn over individuals’ private data would put every American with a phone or computer in the crosshairs of a surveillance state run by Democrat politicians,” McCarthy said in a statement Tuesday night, referring to the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, the chairman of the select committee and the House speaker.

Threatening witnesses is the very definition of witness intimidation and we might add obstruction of congress and whatnot, and this fart-brained jamoke is doing it in a press release?

Look, the Republicans have been running a criminal organization since before any of us were born, but they were better at it once upon a time. It’s not just that they are all crooks (they are), they are not even good at it anymore.  As the inimitable Doyle Lonnegan once said, “Not only are you a cheat, you’re a gutless cheat as well.”

Not sure that’s a hopeful thought, since that was part of the rope-a-dope to sucker Lonnegan into the con.

Intimidating witnesses denotes guilt. Also unwokeness.

Reprehensible, as usual for a Republican.
This struck me, though: “‘in the crosshairs of a surveillance state run by Democrat politicians,’ McCarthy said in a statement” … Now, why would he need to specify Democratic politicians? Could it be because we should believe it’d be just fine if it’s run by Republicans? grrr

“A criminal organization since before any of us were born” — in my case, that must be a reference to Teapot Dome.

This is what happens when you let the President get away with witness tampering and witness intimidation. Look- more witness tampering and witness intimidation. If they don’t prosecute these people for their crimes, they will continue to commit more crimes. Party of Law and Order my ass.
