Coup News: Round-up The Usual Suspects

“What are you wearing?”

Guys, remember the story yesterday about U.S. District Court Judge David O. Carter saying that Hair Füror likely committed felony obstruction of justice with the Stupid Coup? You know, when he released John Eastman’s emails to the January 6 Committee?

It seems that Eastman —in addition to clerking for Clarence Thomas— is also an old friend of Ayatolla Ted  (and that negates an immutable MPS law of physics that Cruz actually has friends). Anyway, Cruz pursued a congressional election-stealing plan that was similar to the scheme outlined in Eastman’s coup memos—one of which mentioned Cruz specifically. What a weird coinky-dink!

An examination by The Washington Post of Cruz’s actions between Election Day and Jan. 6, 2021, shows just how deeply he was involved, working directly with Trump to concoct a plan that came closer than widely realized to keeping him in power. As Cruz went to extraordinary lengths to court Trump’s base and lay the groundwork for his own potential 2024 presidential bid, he also alienated close allies and longtime friends who accused him of abandoning his principles.

Another assertion of friends, let alone principles! I’m shocked to the core of my being, also: I will be prznint before loathsome Ted,  but I digest…

As Eastman outlined a scenario in which Vice President Mike Pence could deny certifying Biden’s election, Cruz crafted a complementary plan in the Senate. He proposed objecting to the results in six swing states and delaying accepting the electoral college results on Jan. 6 in favor of a 10-day “audit” — thus potentially enabling GOP state legislatures to overturn the result. Ten other senators backed his proposal, which Cruz continued to advocate on the day rioters attacked the Capitol.

The committee’s interest in Cruz is notable as investigators zero in on how closely Trump’s allies coordinated with members of Congress in the attempt to block or delay certifying Biden’s victory. If Cruz’s plan worked, it could have created enough chaos for Trump to remain in power.

The committee has yet to subpoena Cruz hisself, or any member of Congress for that matter, but last night they did unanimously voted to recommend contempt charges for former Trump aides Peter Navarro and Dan Scavino.

The January 6 Committee also publicly are demanding that AG Garland do his damn job.

Yep. A real slimeball. I still shudder that he won the Republican primary here in KS, over Trump.

Demanding Garland do his job? How unthinkable of them. Mustn’t wake the sleeping AG after all. It’s nice that someone is seeing the lack of Justice and responding to it, I can only hope this does some good.
