President Handsome Joe Biden
(undated file photo)
“For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power.”
And that quote, allegedly ad-libbed, is the only thing being reported that President Handsome Joe Biden said. The rest of the speech was apparently not heard by the press. Go figure.
Those of us who’ve been paying attention probably already felt the call-back to the Reagan era when White House Aides were frequently called to aisle 6 for clean-up. The 4th Reich had so many errors from the Liar-in-Chief that the Press ignored them and his own aides were too afraid of his temper to try to correct him.
So this fainting couch coverage from our Failed Political Press ™ seems very over the top to me. Some examples:
- Tiger Beat’s email thingie:
They Have A Narrative: Joe Biden is always the Gaffe-er. Therefore that’s all we’ll ever hear from this speech.

“Yes!, isn’t that thing Biden said just terrible!?!” said Ginni Thomas.

Biden needs to threaten the press like shithead did. Take ’em to the woodshed!

That’s a comforting thought, but we all know how democrats are held to a different, if not, higher and outdated standard than morally bankrupt republicans. Dims as they say are afraid of the using even acknowledging the bully pulpit.

I think the best thing for Ukrainians is a negotiated settlement as soon as possible, which means with Putin. The US considered Russia an enemy before the invasion took place. Now, the US goal is to weaken Russia as much as possible. A long war, with Ukrainians doing the fighting and dying, might be fine with the US, and might be Biden’s goal. (Obviously, I think Putin is terrible and he was wrong to invade Ukraine. But that’s a different issue than what is best for the victims, which might involve compromise with Putin.)

Fuck compromise with a terrorist and fuck that “might be Biden’s goal”. The best thing for the Ukranians is Pukin to get the hell out and/or be defeated, assassinated or otherwise permanently removed from power.

Sorry for the language. My reaction is vehement because it seems like `pro-Pukin/anti-Biden talk (just what Pukin wants) instead of what’s good for the Ukrainians. AS the kids would say –I am “sus”.

I wasn’t offended by the language. I am not in any way pro-Putin, nor am I particularly anti-Biden (but his job is to advance the interests of the US, not to do the right thing). I just don’t think either side will win or give up, so it seems that the options are negotiate or a long war that could get a lot uglier than it has so far.

The interest of the US is in Ukraine remaining a sovereign nation & being Puk’in-free. Your stance just capitulates to the tactics of terrorists. Let’s pretend Canada/Trudeau went full-blown psycho and invaded Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota -do we compromise (aka “give in”) with his wants and give him North Dakota, Washington and Montana (along with the states he invaded) if he promises pretty-please to stop? We take the ride and not the ammo? Should we have rolled over to the British to save some “ugly”? Hell to the no.

Biden’s gone up a dozen notches in my view. Excellent speech and I thought his “gaffe” was pure poetry/awesome. Pukin plays with cards of fear because that’s what he responds to.

Our Failed Political Press ™ has become nothing more than enablers. In this case, for example, they’re enabling Russian dictators.

joe was just saying what the rest of us are thinking.

Indeed, what the vast majority of the rest of the world is thinking. Too bad our own Chimpy McStagger and his master Dick set the “pre-emptive strike” based on flimsy false pretenses precedent. Most of us have had it up to here with this ego/greed driven authoritarian crap that only ever results in death, destruction, and misery. Biden is right and good on him.
