Lock Him Up! Lock Him Up! Lock Him Up!

Hair Füror changes public housing address?

The NYTimes reports:

One of the senior Manhattan prosecutors who investigated Donald Trump believed that the former president was ‘guilty of numerous felony violations’ and that it was ‘a grave failure of justice’ not to hold him accountable.

The prosecutor, Mark Pomerantz, submitted his resignation last month after the Manhattan district attorney, Alvin Bragg, abruptly stopped pursuing an indictment of Mr. Trump.

“The team that has been investigating Mr. Trump harbors no doubtabout whether he committed crimes — he did,” Mr. Pomerantz wrote. Mr. Pomerantz and Mr. Dunne planned to charge Mr. Trump with falsifying business records, specifically his annual financial statements — a felony in New York State.

As always, follow the money. I would not be one bit surprised to find out that Bragg is as corrupt as they come. Just how big was that TrumpCheck™, Mr. Bragg?

When your primary witness is Michael Cohen, you have to anticipate both the defense and the puke-funnel. Beyond a reasonable doubt and jury nullification and (gestures broadly the complete history of his Roy Coen skillz at fuckery without accountability) it doesn’t look like the easy conviction that any decent person would wish for. Just sayin’

    • I don’t think that Mikey was their primary witness; I think that their primary witness was the mountain of financial records displaying the crimes in black and white.

      Also, he kept receipts.

I think the larger issue was if they started prosecuting these crimes, people would be moved to ask why all those other rich developers weren’t being prosecuted for the same crimes.

It’s like that hesitancy on chasing down all the russian oligarch’s laundered money; the logical question is what about all the other oligarch’s laundered money? Remember, there are estimates that there are something like 13 trillion us dollars and equivalents sloshing about the world in illegal and questionable tax avoidance schemes

And those are very much questions that TPTB will strongly discourage.

  3. Ugh JUST after posting “he kept receipts” means Cohen. Remember he had a drawer full of old cellphones with text messages and such…
