Kremlin Hacked?

Putin on the fritz (Sorry, I couldn’t resist):

MOSCOW (Reuters) -The official website of the Kremlin, the office of Russian President Vladimir Putin,, was down on Saturday, following reports of denial of service (DDoS) attacks on various other Russian government and state media websites.

The outages came as Ukraine’s vice prime minister said it had launched an ‘IT army’ to combat Russia in cyberspace.

Of course that’s very anodyne description, but if this included other infrastructure, well, that could be another turning point.

On Thursday, Reuters reported that the Ukrainian government had put out a call to the hacker underground to help support its underdog effort to beat back the Russians.

Mr. Robot was a documentary, it seems.

  1. Richard Portman says:

I wish they would just fuck off. You can leave it to a guy like Putin to do this. He sees his big chance so he starts a war. He doesn’t care, and he won’t be here long anyway. If Ukraine loved him, they would welcome him with hugs and pierogies. Instead he gets bullets and blood. Our hero, Vladimir Putin.
