¡GASP! The people who were never going to vote for a Democrat are not going to vote for a Democrat:

The Culture War Has Democrats Facing Electoral Demise in Rural America

  • 65% of rural voters view the Democratic Party unfavorably — including 48% who do so strongly.
  • Among 21 issues tested, a rural voter’s desire for candidates to support securing the U.S.-Mexico border had the strongest correlation with negative views about the Democratic Party.
  • Only 23% of rural voters say the Democratic Party “cares more about my community” than the GOP.

Look, I read that as 35% of rural America doesn’t hate Democrats, and that’s more than I expected; you can grow that number.

  1. The more you hear something the more you believe it. Especially if you don’t hear anything that disagrees with that. Plus I have noticed that the people on the misleading right wing tend to talk in vague sound bites that are devoid of a statistic or fact but are full of emotion while stated with confidence. One of the things I find in comments on right sites are people who say what they feel is something well known, commonly agreed to, and understood that is totally devoid of fact or reality. But they feel it, they know it, it just is. And when you try to contradict that they cannot mentally process the disconnect between fact and their emotion. The issue of an open southern border is one of these. They know the border is no longer secure and hoards are pouring across on the invitation of Biden to be sent to all the red states to turn them blue, even though nothing has changed legally in the rules accept we are not detaining families now. Biden has not been able to change the rules as they courts are holding him up. The deportations are up, the apprehensions are up. But these cannot accept that because they feel the border is open. Sen. Rick Scott is using an 11 point plan to try to get Republicans elected with point one being finishing the wall and naming it after tRump. Again Republicans play to emotion and the Democrats have facts and nuance. Facts and nuance don’t fit on bumper stickers and memes. Guess which one’s appeal to the average person in the US?

Well said Scottie, thank you. Mastering the message and triggering the political dialog to their advantage with repeatable phrase-bombs has been the Republican game plan for at least 40 years IMO; “the liberal media, family values, weapons of mass destruction, Democrats spending”, on and on. The GQP has no interest in actual practical governing based on factual information.

    Comparatively:

65% of rural voters are willfully uneducated and ill-informed.

Among 21 issues tested, a rural voter’s desire was determined by how often they saw the topic mentioned on FAUX Snooze.

Only 23% of rural voters say they leave their basement/cabin/fortress.

I wonder what is rural America? I think it is a fiction. I live in a district that is classified as rural. Truth, i haven’t seen any rural people around here for years. They have been replaced and the survivors are brainwashed. It is a myth. You would be surprised how radical rural Americans used to be. I was lucky , i met a few. They weren’t anything like this GOP.

Why do we never get any polling about Republicans and urban America? Or Republicans facing extension when youth voters come of age and Boomers die off?

Because, D K , it is part of their policy of dumbing people down. They even invented a new word. Dumbth. It is so chougie. Us older survivors have struggled for so long just trying to keep a few scraps.of our beautiful world alive. Now you call us boomers and wait for us to die.
My advice- Republicans are shit. Take it from there and good luck!
