One Lump of Stupid or Two, Anti-Vaxxers?

Anti-vaxxers are the real patriots, says anti-vaxxers.

The WaPo tells us that the vast majority of service members have complied with the Pentagon’s August order mandating coronavirus vaccinations, but you know, true patriots, yadda, yadda, yadda:

The U.S. Army said Wednesday that it would immediately begin removing soldiers who have refused the coronavirus vaccine.

In a statement, Secretary of the Army Christine Wormuth described the action as necessary for Army readiness, adding that “unvaccinated soldiers present risk to the force.”

There’s a career ending move, and soldiers who refused the vaccine “’will not be eligible for involuntary separation pay’ and may be required to return any unearned special or incentive pay.”

And back to Possum Hollar. That might be punishment enough.

The last thing the military needs is a fifth column waging biological warfare on the rest on the personnel.

I read this morning that the anti-vaxxers are 97 times more likely to die of Covid than those of us who believe in modern science…

Yeah, I have been wondering about those 100,000 troops on the border of Ukraine. I wonder how combat ready they actually are!

    • Ah they’re Rooskies! Alla them are 7 ft tall and bulletproof.

The rhetoric is starting to give me bad flashbacks of Ray-gun era Cold War estimates of just how bad we’d get beaten in a war, because yjr Rooskies were all such incredibly well trained, battle-hardened and ready troops. (despite not actually being, you know, ‘battle-hardened’ because the Soviet Union hadn’t fought a serious war since WWII; Afghanistan was their Vietnam; and OUR troops certainly didn’t come out of Vietnam ‘well trained and battle-hardened’ as much as the generals wished it so)

Narrator: they were NOT incredibly well-trained and ready…

      • Kiwiwriter says:

I’m reminded of Eisenhower’s “Military-Industrial Complex” warning, too, which pointed out how all this fear and paranoia of various enemies led to ridiculous spending.

The Department of Defense kept sending him ridiculous budget requests, with reams of reports and “analyses” on how the Soviets could reach the Rhine in two weeks. That justified spending money on new golf courses at Air Force bases.

Ike would write on the report: “Disapproved — it took US six weeks to conquer Sicily.”

Nobody could argue with Eisenhower on that — he had commanded the largest invasions in history and defeated Hitler. He knew when high-ranking military officers were full of it.

Why do republicans hate job creators? Billions of doses of the vaccine have been administered worldwide and those tracking devices don’t track themselves. Wake up sheeple.

  6. I am unable to find just what classification of separation they’re getting…if it’s a ‘less than honorable’ discharge, this has real consequences.
